I was basically raised on country music; honestly I’d know it if a group wasn’t country. It makes no sense whatsoever how some people jump so quickly to say someone isn’t country when country music is more than just the sound of the music altogether, although that is a lot of it. Country has instruments like the mandolin, the violin, and just all sorts of things other genres don’t, but it also tells a story like no other genre can and it can either fill your spirits with so much joy it’s overwhelming or just crush them with a few sad lyrics. It doesn’t have to be about going out on your four wheeler on the weekend muddin’, it doesn’t have to be about going hunting, or wearing your cowboy boots; I’m so sick of the mainstream view of the country. Y’all just need to get a dose for yourself and stop thinking you know it all honestly.

Dan + shay are not country. Just letting you know.
Hun, what are they then if they’re not country? When you look them up, you literally get the description, “an American country music duo composed of Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney.” And when I put their album in my iTunes, it registered as the genre Country & Folk, not to mention they’re played on several all country radio stations here in Alabama. I’m not entirely sure what you think they are but after seeing them live I can promise you they’re not pop or anything of the sort. They may not be enough to float your boat and they may not be your cup of tea when it comes to country music but just because some of today’s artists don’t put out music like the older acts of country music like George Strait or Garth Brooks, doesn’t mean they’re not country and nor does where they’re from define that either. Contemporary music is different and will grow and change with today; not everything will always be the same. So I really, honestly, have no clue what you’re talking about, dear.
Seriously considering making my M&G picture with Dan + Shay my icon on here… I just can’t decide; I’ve had this icon for so long… Hm.
I went to Hunter’s concert last night in Hunstville, Alabama, and when I got there, there was a little platform just a few feet away from me and literally I just dismissed the thought I was literally like “there’s no freaking way” and then midway through the concert we heard it from a security guard that he was going to sing on that platform and once he opened with one song, he climbs offstage and comes running down the side of the floor seating and gets up on this platform and I moved in as close as I could get and I was standing legitimately about 3 feet away from him. This picture is no zoom whatsoever and he stayed there for a good five minutes at least and even though that was short-lived it was easily one of the best moments of my life. He’s literally so tiny, and adorable and his ARMS goodness gracious, he’s just so perfect in person. Never would I have imagined this would’ve happened when I picked these seats. He made my night so, so good and I couldn’t have asked for a better early birthday present. I will literally talk about being three feet away from Hunter Hayes for the rest of my life.
Last night was literally one of the best nights of my life and I can’t post a lot right now because I’m busy but basically even tho my seats were middle ways back and in a lower level, he came out on a platform and sang Storm Warning three feet away from me and I got to meet Dan + Shay and this is the best early birthday present I’ve ever gotten myself okay I’ll post more later!!!
